Is anyone really surprised?! What an absolutely stupid program. This Administration at work. Please do not let them mess with your Health Care program. We have recently switched from one plan to another and are concerned about our future health care...but there is NO WAY I want those in Congress or in this Administration to be *helping me out*. :~(

This program was basically the equivalent of running taxpayer dollars through the shredder.

Just not quite as preposterous an unaccountable as BushCo. sending cubic dollars by the skid full to Iraq.

Again, the left overlook current problems by giving Obama and congress a pass on everything by going back and resurrecting the Bush administration, instead of paying attention to what's going on in front of them.
That's one sure fire way to fix things isn't it.

"One man's folly is another man's wife." Each of us has gripes about how our tax money is spent, but it is time that we all look at our representative and senators, obviously the majority of them are not voting the way we feel as taxpayers! As for the government bureaucracy, I have to wonder how one gets promoted from a peon level job to one where the decisions are made that show no common sense. If we let the higher paid government managers out in a rainstorm, they would look up and drown!

We are all but pawns on the board at their mercy. When we get the same health plan as "The Beautiful People" get, then we are on equal ground then and only then will things will begin to change!!!

Funny how hard the left will try to defend a program where the government is basically destroying tax dollars.

Think about this for a second. They are paying too much for low end cars. Then instead of taking these cars bought with government money and reselling them, or parting them out, or even giving them to charities or the poor, they demand those vehicles be destroyed. Every vehicle destroyed was $4500 in taxpayer dollars being run through a shredder. I was watching a video of them running over 'clunkers' with a monster truck and I just couldn't get over the fact that people were actually out there cheering the destruction of their tax dollars.

As before, and likely always, clueless dl211. The point of my comment is not that I think that the Clunkers program was great, good, or even fair, but rather, WHERE THE HELL WAS YOUR CRITICISM WHEN BUSHCO PLAYED THE MONOPOLY MONEY CUBIC DOLLARS CARD?

Oh, you were busy knee-jerking. I forgot.

Let's check again and see who has increased the debt the most and how quickly. And who, exactly, writes these bills and authorizes this debt??

We all knew this was coming as soon as Obama was elected. Complete and total fiscal irresponsibility coupled with arrogance and entitlement from the elitists elected to *represent* us.

That sorry excuse for a husband...John Edwards...was correct. We do have "two Americas" but it's not along the lines he was speaking of while on the campaign trail. (Good grief; to think that man was running for President)

You were trying to ignite a diversionary fire using GWB as the gasoline. Attempts like yours are prevalent, all meant to divert attention away from current problems, problems attributed directly to Obama & congress. And shift any responsibility towards Bush. That was the basis of your previous statement.

Bush is no longer in office - he's no longer spending money - starting wars, practicing witchcraft or whatever else he's done - open your eyes and look at what is really happening instead of harping on the past. Our current state of affairs will not be affected in the least bit on what Bush did, said, will say, or ...
