Even worse, the government will protect its own creations from public scrutiny and from the rule of law. Let's hope that eventually, enough people will get tired of being pushed around, and change things at election time. The only ones acting like fascists after New Orleans was the local government who went around confiscating everyone's guns so that they had no way of protecting themselves from bands of looters. There is absolutely nothing wrong with capitalism. It is the reason you are able to use clipmarks. It is the reason you get healed when you are sick. It is the reason we can help other countries with food assistance, which we do to the tune of 1.5 Billion a year 3 times what the entire EU donates. Depending on Mercs to fight your wars is never a good thing. Not all things can be (or should be) privatized. Sorry, not buying the whole capitalism jazz. There's gotta be a better way, especially with health care. A system that rewards greed without regulation (banking as it is now) is basically flawed.
