The funny thing is, rather than hire some foreign consultant (like yours truly) to fix the signs, they just have some poor Chinese guy trying to come up with them, so they normally wind up replacing Chinglish with more Chinglish.

Another one was a street sign pointing the way to the Ethnic Minority Park. This is a "Small World Ride" style survey of the varrious ethnicities who have been sublimated into the ever expansive communist China. The whole park ridiculously Orientalizes, Stereotypes, and reduces to one-dimensional caricatures the people who make up the ethnic diversity of China.

However, Communism's Dialectical Materialism doesn't have a strong grasp of factors that originate in the human mind such as culture, and tends to reduce everything to biology and class struggle, so they often use the words ethnicity and race interchangeably. Add to that the Chinese utter disinterest in the various uses of suffixes, and you get this charmingly ironic sign:
