nope, Gary Taubes and his " Good Calories, Bad Calories" would disagree with your statement. It's a high carb diet that CAUSES people to eat more and excercise less, not these that cause obesity. I am reading his book now, ya might wanna check it out. It is not. A calorie is a calorie. Period. It's a unit of heat. No more. No less. 3500 of them equal one pound. If you have a 3500 calorie deficit (about what marathoner burns in a race) you'll lose a pound. Work it the other way, sit on you ass and stuff your face and it doesn't matter whether you eat potato chips or steel cut oats, you're gunna look like the other pigs round you. And re: your book. I can come with several that say man didn't land on the moon and that the holocaust didn't happen. Doesn't make it so. |
