I agree, blatant ad's on YouTube should be banned. All corporate activities in the social media space must add "value" to the community.

Interesting. I'm all for truth in advertising, but I'd rather it come from the community just not paying attention to ads online unless they're clever and creative and add something to the community (which tends to be how it works in general now). Generally, if you put a video out and it's done by an agency (ala lonelygirl) you'll be found out and called out for not being transparent.

If you see a Dyson and you don't think "gee, this might be biased towards Dyson," then you're not watching with a critical eye.

As a videoblogger and avid consumer of online video, I am not looking forward to the government regulating the internet like TV.
