I say take some of the unspent stimulus money, add it to the VA budgets, rewrite the current legislation/rules on the veterans eligibilities and take care of them. BTW, I have heard horror stories about how the service men and women's families are often on welfare and food stamps due to the low pay of military. Think of how the loved ones at home struggle to make ends meet and daddy or mama are overseas and can't do any more to help them. It is a crying shame while we bail out the banks and car companies and their CEOs receive millions of dollars as their bonuses, our military personnel and families struggle to live.
