I saw that video on cable news, with the 'back story'. The guys in the video had bought the lion as a cub from a department store in London about twenty years ago. When the lion got too big for them to manage, they found a place that would adopt her.

When the guys (they're Australian) returned to the refuge to visit her, they didn't think she would remember them.

Well, not only they were remembered, but that affectionate greeting says it all.
