Nearly half are still at <A title="Rano Raraku" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rano_Raraku">Rano Raraku</A>, the main moai quarry, but hundreds were transported from there and set on <A title="Easter Island" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Island#Ahu">Ahu</A> (platforms) which were mostly at the island's perimeter. Almost all have overly large heads three fifths the size of their body.
