As I understand it, the State of Alaska`s local equivalent of the DoJ is called the Department of Law, so this may be just a matter of local usage trumping the correct term.

I know someone who lived in this tow for twenty years, but couldn`t get away from saying "North Street" instead of "North Avenue" (the correct local designation) because that's what he grew up with and was used to saying.

I find Palin`s gaffes amusing, often pathetic, but I`m still willing to give her the benefit of the doubt when there`s a reason.

So what is worse, that Obama believes we have 57 states or that beyond just the disgusting treatment Governor Sarah Palin has received, she’s also been hit with a lot of frivolous lawsuits like when someone tried to claim her strangling a moose with piano wire is “animal cruelty”.

I was really hoping to see a liberal write "YOU BETCHA!" here. Please don't let me down.

Pointing out Palin's flaws does not mean anyone is blind to President Obama's.

You mean, sort of like, Obama identfying the "Office of the President Elect" or his wife identifying the "Office of the First Lady"? Pot calling the kettle green....

the all-powerful “Department of Law”
Give the dame a break, eh? Maybe Palin meant the all-powerful "Department of Lawlessness"? Be it ever so covert, I'm pretty sure one of those exists. Oh! I might be confusing that with the CIA, though.... Anyway, what's in a name? The "War Department" got renamed to the "Department of Defense". It sounds so much nicer, eh? So you just never know. I'm with Palin. She's so smart, she'd know. .

*cough*

Jorjor - good point; if I had it to do over, I don't think I'd clip it. Thanks!

Clip - Yes, I understand that Palin has been targeted with frivolous lawsuits, and that is a bad thing. But surely you don't really believe that Obama thinks there are 57 states, do you?

I was wondering if this was a local term she was using for her state, not another Palinism. I do wonder if the tables and tides will turn and all of the over analysis of this woman will begin to look like bullying. Who cares already. Let's talk about health care not palin.

Like those of us in the Northeast calling it a snowmobile when Alaska calls it a snow machine...

Didn't Obama appoint a Law Czar? Who needs that pesky DOJ or Supreme Court
