I noticed the look also. But I have seen this before. It was in Vietnam. I also see it now in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Dar Fur, India and many other places now. It is called desperation. The world is only getting better for the rich. And they are the ones who create this situation. They oppress people who are on the low rung of the ladder.

cptenaud, your generalization of "rich" is too broad. I do not think rich should always get the blame for all the ills of this world.

You are right. It really isn't the rich peoples fault. It is all everyones fault that buys at such low prices at Walmart,
and other discount stores. We don't see the sweat shops
or how little these people are paid. We just see the price
and consume.
