Eaglewings says:
Today many question the idea that there is only one way to heaven (or that Christianity is the only true faith) -- even some people who identify themselves as Christians. In a world where we are likely to have neighbors of differing faiths, to profess Jesus as the only Savior may be viewed as arrogance and intolerance. Religious "pluralism" is gaining popularity. Many believe that there are many ways to salvation and that the biblical account of Jesus only is at best misquided and at worse bigoted. What do you think?

I am grieved for you Kevin because if like you say they are all wrong then there remains no hope for mankind. We might as well just eat drink and be merry because tomorrow we are dead. Now that is hopelessness personified. I will be praying for you Kevin

Eagle,
It seems to me that you are asking people in this clip what they think. Why not let them respond honestly instead of using this forum to proselytize.

How about THEY'RE ALL WRONG.
This statement required a comment. To say EVERYONE IS wrong must mean that I am the only one who is right. Or it indicates a person who has no clue as to what is right or wrong and therefore they live for whatever seems right at the moment. To say there are no absolutes opens the door to much licenciousness which opens the door to anarchy.

When one feels that everyone is wrong then somewhere those who espouse religion as 'the hope of mankind" have failed in their efforts to shine forth 'the light'. Has Jesus been portrayed in shuch a way that the world looks at Him as a joke? Are those who call upon the name of the Lord living such lousy exampl...

As Gandhi put it (I'm paraphrasing from memory here) -- "we cannot all be right, but it is not impossible that every one of us is wrong."

It seemed to me that you were questioning people's opinions as to whether there were many ways to salvation. I understood Kevin's comments to mean that one would be wrong to think that there is only one method to salvation. In that context, I think his comment was appropriate since you asked what others thought.

Jesus is the only way to Salvation. He said "I am the way, the truth and the life." NOT, "I am the way, and Budda is the way etc." A personal relationship with Jesus through faith and repentance is vital.

Personally I understand why some people simply "don't believe." They have never seen evidence that the Bible stories are true.

But the ones that make me angry are the ones that claim to be Christian - yet still "don't know" if Jesus is "the only way" or if there really are "other gods" out there. Fine, if you don't know those things or if you're having a hard time coming to grips with your beliefs. But don't tag yourself something you're not.

It would be sort of like me calling myself a liberal democrat. Obviously I'm not. Why would I call myself one?

Yes, but Colgate toothpaste also says they're better than all the other toothpastes too. When you're trying to SELL something to people, especially when they don't want it, it's just smart to say you're the best and "vital" to their well-being. It's just more advertising bull!

As a result of advertising people purchase said toothpaste. They take it home and they try it out. Their teeth turn black, it tastes like dog food, and they develope bad breath, and then they say. YUP BEST TOOTH PASTE EVER! Now either they are just plain stupid or they really like tooth paste that tastes like dog food and turns their teeth black.

Now then as a born again Christian I will tell you that JE...

But if Jesus knows he is the only way to salvation why would he lie and say that there are other ways? Thats not advertising, its teling the truth.

Jesus, said "I am the way, the truth, and the light. No one enters the kingdom of heaven except through me."
