That's really odd--I used to live there in the next town--Boyes hot Springs in the Valley of the Moon...pretty busy place but there are a coupla mountainous areas. Never knew there were still critters like that around there.

Oddly enough there have been 19 sightings of a Panther sized "big cat" within a few kilometers of where I live, possibly a descendant of mascots released in the area in WW2 by US soldiers. Even the government thinks there is almost certainly at least one in the area. No one has delivered any definitive proof though. I go down the back a lot with a camera, it's all bush, but so far no luck, ( I don't know if it would be good luck or bad if I find it )

Good if you find it before it finds you, bad the other way around...I hate to read a clip about your demise. Be careful!
