Hrm.. take the word of some ACTORS.. or SCIENTISTS?

At least with MJF, he is a victim of a disease that may benefit from stem cell research, but what do any of these guys have to do with it? One comment on the blog is: "They have a right to their opinions, but they NEVER stated what their reasons really were for opposing stem cell research.". At least MJF gave his opinion & reasons...

Personally, I'd rather see ads from the scientists, lawyers & religious community expressing why they think voters should vote for or against the bill. Actors are not experts, none of them are scientists, nor are they lawyers (playing on on TV does not count), or religious leaders, or at least victims of a disease/sickness (like MJF).

I'm not saying they can't have an opinion.. I'm just saying I don't really care about it unless they are directly involved. Personally, I think MJF laid it on a bit thick in his commercial, but at least he's probably done his homework.

I took that as sarcasm? Maybe not.

ahh.. err...

I was making the point (well, trying to) that maybe scientists know what the hell they are talking about... but you never know.. some actors do play scientists on TV :|

I don't know, Cat. Perhaps it wasn't sarcasm - I'm sometimes slow on that sort of thing!

I'm not so sure, Cat. I mean, men invented the bra & we don't have breasts (at least not until the age 50). So maybe it's better to leave it up to the people who are unaffected by this research to make the decision. After all, they're less emotionally tied to the issue.

Same thing with racial issues: Who better than a white guy to make the call? I mean, you can't expect minorities to make rational decisions with all the racial prejudice clouding their thoughts.

Same thing for women's rights.

(100% Pure Sarcasm. Made in the USA)
