Absolutley wonderful. Everyday there is a technology story absolutley thrilling me.

Along with its bear like looks it has a bear like name (Battlefield Extraction Assist Robot (BEAR))

The BEAR can move on tracts, wheels or it can walk.

So freaky, but fabulous technology. I wonder who will be the first soldier to be saved by one -- and I hope his or her friends don't tease him for being rescued by a teddy bear.

I have a feeling the guy will never be free of it lol, but hopefully at least he will be alive.

I think it would be cooler if the robot looked like Bruce Willis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. Actually, how about making it a naked beautiful woman? OK, better yet, why not have the robot ask if you have any particular fantasies about being rescued and then it could change into that person. Come on now...if you're going to develop something this innovative, take it all the way!

It seems like it would be easier to develop a robot to do the actual fighting.

Serves to remove the trauma of carrying your buddies pieces from the scene of combat, you know like when a .50cal slices them in half, or a sniper bullet blows their brains apart, that sort of thing. Let teddy bear do it. Add some automated sniper turrets and PTSD is a thing of the past.

I'm just glad more soldiers lives could be saved by this innovation.
