Justifications for the power and abuses of the Zionist State sound like the prior argument of Manifest Destiny used in the United States to decimate Native American cultures. You round the Indians up, put 'em on reservations and when the Indians get restless, you send in the artillery to put 'em back in there place.

So true! It really is similar to Manifest Destiny. The problem isn't just that Hamas - one subset of the Palestinian people - doesn't agree that Israel has a right to exist. The problem is also that a significant subset of Israelis don't believe Palestinians have a right to exist where they are today.

Our government condemns Hamas, but mostly overlooks the militant wing of Israel's populace.

@Kauaiguy - It's nice to see thriving Native America cultures in our nation today.

But the bad old days were as bad as could be. It would be a fair estimate (some say even 300% higher and maybe they are right) -- but it would be a fair estimate to think about 22-million Native Americas were killed in the initial European invasions and subsequent conquest of The West.

For what it's worth today I'll add some evils to your list of evil.

1. Make John Wayne movies. (no joke). Most Americans would be horrified to think their nation was established on the backs of 22-million dead in genocide; instead we're all fed the John Wayne myths of the story.
