Honestly, there's a lot to like about science; I read so many 'science-related' articles that cite global warming as the cause; often times, the topic is interesting, but the science isn't...

You know, I've never really understood why conservative and liberal viewpoints are on opposites poles in terms of the direction of the climate. I haven't really jumped-on board the 'global warming' train; I don't see how the belief or disbelief in global warming makes a person more liberal or more conservative. It seems like science to me.

Others may think I'm an idiot for saying that, but I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the brightest or the smartest. A lot of my conculsions are based on gut reaction or historical perspective.

When it comes to politicians (conservative/liberal) I actively discount a lot of what they say, and look at their history .

The so-called "man-made global warming" (and CO2 reduction mandate) is nothing more than legalized robbery.

Mother nature has been changing climate for ions without the help of humans. To the Greenies, sceptics are heretics, but I think the Greenies are "sheeple".
That's my "take" on conservatives and liberals.

'Greenies' are environmentalists, and 'sheeple' are people
who behave like sheep.....I picked up those idioms somewhere along the way, not really sure where.

merrie, good stuff. I'm not into global warming as the scare tactic that it has become, but I think policies like sustainable energy, reducing waste, and living more green, just make good sense, no matter what the climate is doing or what causes it to do what it's doing. I guess I'm just an earth loving hippie.

deb, I think that makes sense, too

speaking of the environment, I noticed that the ozone hole was on sale at eBay - http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/business/the-ozone-hole-is-on-ebay/1138

I meant to use a 'wink' with those last two comments

Also, another interesting article from the same site: Global Cooling in 1936: The Ice Age is Coming: http://www.environmentalgraffiti.com/sciencetech/global-cooling-1936the-ice-age-is-coming/1139

Maybe the lesson learned of that last article: Don't make global disaster predictions you can't keep?
