I'm glad to see some people are challenging the states mandates. I objected to my son's blood being sent to a state lab because they keep the blood for a certain period of time. I feel it's a violation of privacy for the state to keep anybody's DNA for any amount of time unless they've been convicted of a crime.

A few drops of blood to prevent your newborn child's death or retardation - not a bad deal at all.

But when it's against your religious beliefs, you shouldn't be forced to have the test done. JW's always refuse blood transfusions. Scientologists and even some evangelical Christians believe in faith-healing so treating those diseases would be against their religious beliefs.
