Canadian citizens would hate to vote on this issue and from my conversations with most Canadians I believe the US is not a country they would want to merge with because of our current administrations policies. They will force Canada into the merger by telling them the US currency they hold and rely upon will be worthless and the only way Canada can even hope to salvage any of the funds is to join the NAU.IF they get to vote on it. This is not a conspiracy theory. The negotiations are currently ongoing, but the leaders of the three countries believe that we, "the Great Unwashed" don't need to know anything about what is happening. The elected officials use NGO's, including universities and think-tanks because they don't have to report to Congress or the public as they negotiate. I would like to suggest that you please refer to the various clips others have made in Clipmarks over the past months. We have already done the leg work to collect clips, and I always try to cite primary sources, when possible. After one of the more publicly NOTED meetings, I watched a news interview where Robert Pastor (an academic expert, not a politician) did make the comment that he had encouraged the North American political leaders to be more transparent, but they have not.
