We'll have to see how this plays out. I realize you're trying to make democrats sound like they're so superior... when in reality they suck just as much if not more.

And as for Cheney - I'm not sticking up for the guy, or burying him... anyone is capable of being immoral, unethical, etc. just some of us choose to keep it at a decent level and others don't.

If I look at the Democrats, with their latest congresswoman idiocy and Jesse's speech on immigration... AFAIC - they have nothing to be proud of. Republicans - similar, on other issues - same conclusion.

The sad part is that they're both so entrenched into running the country that it seems impossible for anyone else to come in and get sufficient numbers at the polls to actually win an election. You have all your Naders and Perots (although he did better than anyone had expected... although it still wasn't enough) and they can't win anything substantial... so we get what we get.

And as many disagreements as I have with Republicans, especially over the absurd immigration strategy being laid out (or to describe it more correctly - a strategy to reward criminals), I haven't seen ANYTHING that would show me that the Democrats could or would do better.

On the other hand you have other countries that have numerous parties and that doesn't seem to work well either.

I think the biggest problem we keep having is lousy candidates that are offered to us to vote for and we keep voting for the lesser evil most of the time, which certainly isn't a good approach. As I pointed out in a previous clip - unfortunately, we don't seem to have Washingtons and Jeffersons and Franklins any longer... or if we do - they don't run for office.

And when we vote for the lesser evil - we wind up being totally discouraged by the end of the run and switch gears hoping for improvement. Unfortunately we don't get it. So, it's almost like a Do Loop without a Break anywhere (to put it programmatically, if I may).

Eventually, one of several scenarios may play out - either we will finally get a decent candidate (which I still hope can happen) or some sort of horrible event will finally cause the Frists and Kennedys to stop acting like they represent 2 different nations and do something for the sake of the country, not their own political agendas... or eventually people will get so fed up where it might get ugly... w...
