I don't really understand why the Democrats in Congress are so hesitant to crack down on this administration and their unconstitutional rule of our country. And let's make no mistake about it, they DO rule. The congress is so timid about pushing the issue of how the Bushies have distorted and manipulated the Constitution to suit their agenda, that each day this administration seems to be emboldened to take their nefarious actions a step further. Yes, I know the argument that the Dems just simply do not have enough votes to override vetoes etc. But they must at least start drafting articles of impeachment against Bush and Cheney so as to wave it over their heads like the sword of Damocles... And your guess is right BartendingBear, I wasn't born in the 60's. Which doesn't mean I'm not sick of how some them powerful use the power the poeple give them. Indeed, I totally agree with you saying that the potential of a revolution exists but, will things ever go beyond their "potential" state? That's what I keep wondering. You are right, revolution is the right to bear arms but which ones? Our history(and I mean mankind's history) is full of examples of past revolutions in several countries, most of them violent if not bloody. So another question I'm asking myself is, should any future revolution follow the path of blood and violence and if so, how could it be any different from the ot... |
