alanocu says: if you're still not sure what this is called, I'll put the answer in the comments I think you are right alanocu!! What a novel idea. But aren't they just about extinct? :~) Library?Isn't that where you sleep when you go to college? OMG this is funny What country is this poster from? Moronicland! is this for real??? I blame the parents. boggle, boggle....tilt! I mean you cant blame the person (or maybe you can) But younger people these days don't visit libraries. He may well live in a remote town where there is no library, except for the school. There is book rental businesses all over the country in rural areas. The reason why there is: because libraries are on a buyers list that usually puts them in a low cost category where they do not pay premium prices for books, therefore they don't get the books until after the first printing. First printings are always premium priced. Book rental shops have become a handy source for new books that are too expensive, (some around $35 to over $100). Rentals can be from $2.50 to $5.00 per week, plus late fees. that's hilarious. I'm thinking maybe a brain fart! poo, if there's a store like that, there's a library. it is nuts to spend that much cash on books you will only read once. and i adore roaming through used book stores, they're treasure troves. i could spend hours there. |
