zasel says: While the Republicans try to shoot down healthcare for underprivileged children claiming it leads to socialized medicine, Paul Krugman explains how we already are providing the same insurance for children in via public education. Another Krugman attempt to reveal the hypocrisy of the right-wing Republicans. The Heritage Foundation is evil. Robert Rector is the supposed poverty expert. I have written numerous times to directly challenge him on facts. He never answers. If he won't even converse with poor people, how can he claim to know anything about them. It is difficult not to blow a gasket reading the foundation's lies about poverty. Why would anyone want to minimize the pain of others by actually trying to show that poverty "isn't that bad"? dmegivern, the more these heartless bastards can convince the country that poverty is not as bad as we think it is, or that most of it is caused by bone laziness the less they will have to appropriate for the poor, and the more there will be for them. The entire MO of these groups is to paint the poor as being unworthy because they bring poverty on themselves. They have the old adage "if I can make it, so can anybody." But any thinking person knows that this is pure bullshit. People do not want to be poor and sick. Those that do, and they are very much in the minority, really DO have problems they need help with. Are you in poverty, dmegivern? heartless bastards?Find inequality and unfairness behind every corner, do ya? |
