One place i can def recommend is Sintra, just outside of Lisboa. Beautiful place with a fairytale like castle. And don't forget to try the egg custard  tarts!

If you cross the Alentejo to reach Faro, I suggest you Evora, Monsaraz and Marvao.<BR />If you stay along the ocean I recommend Cabo Espichel, Cabo da Roca and Vila nova de Milfontes.<BR />Of course Lisboa and Coimbra in both cases.

I'd recommend you go down to Obidos, followed by Sintra, Lisbon, and Evora.<BR /><A href="http://www.golisbon.com" class="ftalternatingbarlinklarge" target="new">Lisbon city & hotels guide</A> will give you more information and ideas about these destinations, and <A href="http://www.gooporto.com" class="ftalternatingbarlinklarge" target="new">Porto (Oporto) city & hotels guide</A> has more ideas within Porto.
