McCain's health is a concern. Why do you think Palin has compared herself to Truman (had to wait just 82 days as VP to become POTUS) and her husband has been referred to as "1st Dude"? How many VP spouses have ever been referred to as 1st Lady? That's a title reserved for the spouse of the president, not the VP.
