This has to happen across North America. I do not have access to High Speed internet at my home and I am one 10 min from one of the larger city's in Canada. It's amazing how many people do not have access and how much we are forgotten about! We have the technology for 100% coverage now lets get off out butts and do it!

This is actually OLD technology and has been kicked around for years now. Some of the drawbacks supposedly has been filtering and data corruption.
Security has also been a main concern due to a hard wired connection vs a limited range wireless offering.

Google has already bought in as well as others.
