HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. "New McCain communications flack Nicole Wallace — formerly of Bush Co. — took to “Morning Joe” this morning to push this deceptive storyline, only to get busted on it despite Joe Scarborough’s most valiant effort to cover for her"

Yes, McCain is for "big oil". So am I. I am glad that private business runs the oil industry in this country versus the federal government. They tend to screw up more than they fix. Look at education; New Orleans; etc.

And Enron?

I'm not for government running the oil business, either.
But I'm certainly not for the oil business running government, and I think that is the nearer peril. Much of the oil industry's income comes from government handouts that it pressured the government into giving it.

What about Enron? They lied. The problem there was a few people without any ethics. That is a problem with management and oversight by the government as far as watching these private businesses making sure they don't do anything they aren't supposed to. However, I will say that whether the government was watching them or not, Enron should have done the right thing.

Businesses shouldn't have clout within a government. If a person used to work for a business, that person should not be allowed to vote on any bills, etc. that may benefit that business.

James, are you glad that the U.S. government overthrows democratically elected governments to protect Big Oil?

Big Oil has an insidious control over our own government and our governments ethics.

Having business run the government is no different than having government run business. It's like communism wearing sunglasses. Government wins, business wins, the people lose.
