No, the Obama campaign does not get more money. Techincally that sign should be have been free, paid for already with all that campaign money from doners like fgshhj jkklle. The 3000 McCain/Palin signs I helped assemble tonight at McCain victory headquarters were free however. I think the point is someone's theft is only gonna backfire. From the original photo's Flickr page: At least they know the result of their pranks: we give more money to Obama's campaign.A lot of people choose to give a donation even though the sign, bumper sticker, button, or whatever is free. It's a pretty straightforward thought process: "I support this candidate enough to want to publicly display my support - I think I'll give them some money to help with the campaign." Sounds like a fine idea. I'm going to drop some (more) money in the next Obama campaign donation box I see. And according to the Supreme Court Money=Speech so a lot of people are speaking for Obama or at least doing so very loudly. |
