papananook says: And it's actually going faster than they think... Not only California, in my home state of WV some plants I remember as a youngster are disappearing. Over harvesting, timbering, erosion, greenhouse gas, and the introduction of trash plants not native. Ginseng, may apple, yellow root, blood root, snake root, and native mushrooms are not nearly as plentiful; a tragedy. Most flora will die out if the solution to the bee problem is not found. Global warming will make survival even harder. tabsey, you are so right, luckily I have seen more honeybees this year than I have in the last 10 years. There is a little bee I have encountered that looks like a cross between the honeybee and bumblebee, very friendly, will crawl on me without stinging, very pleasant to be around. Maybe our fellow clippers could enlighten us about this bee, will try to macro some images and post them. If humans would only work half as hard as these little fellows. Its people that think GREENERY is good. Nature likes brown and withered. This bee disappearing problem is just another thing to wonder "WTF" id goin' on about...needs a lot of research or we really will be hungry and soon...we sure can't get all the illegal aliens to go around pollinating the crops they pick can we, hmmmm? bzzzzz, bzzzzz, amigo y amiga or would that be bad 'cuz they'd take 'Murrikan jobs? hahahahahahah... Skwirl, d'ya mean all that brown and withered in the Amazon--ya know that place that has 1/5th of the worlds fresh water, 1/3rd of the animals and insects on the planet? Or are you bein' facetious? If california and nevada is in the amazon. In the amazon there is green and there is brown and withered but it is natural. Green lawns in the desert is NOT natural Los Vegas is an abomination of nature as that it would not exist naturally in its present state. The only reason it exists now is because we humans have mucked with the natural order to appease our desires. There are many such cities across the nation. Try to imagine what it would really mean to get back to the natural order of things. Now I get what you mean...of course desert is not meant for large populations...so why do the idiots keep movin there and expect to sustain the water use? Humans--Bah! I do...what a nice world that would be. Did you see the show "Life After People" Guys save me, my mother-in-law was just here reading over my shoulder, she said it was because of all the gay people in California, I had to open a beer and call debbyski and TN and tell them to please stop at the liquor store for me. Yes, skwirl, I saw the show, true, I believe; but check out the crisis with Napa Valley and the vineyards. Death Valley is even green sometimes, amazing what water will do. Pray for me and send beer.LOL The high country desert is beautiful. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! My mother actually said that it was because of all the queers in California. I wonder, is this because our sex is so much hotter than hetero sex????? Anyway, I have to laugh. Imagine my life growing up bisexual in this atmosphere. Imagine never being able to tell your own Mother your true feelings because you were so scared she wouldn't love you anymore. Imagine having those feelings stuck down your throat by a heterosexual world. Imagine never being able to kiss a woman you liked around here because guys would hang out the car and cheer or just be able to hold hands because of all the stares. Things are changing and I apologize for turning this cl... S'OK, Deb...I can dig it, Unlike Willie, you have free rein to say anything you want. I have a lot of gay friends and have even shocked some of my straight friends by dancing at parties where we mixed...what a buncha crap...I don't care who sleeps with who as long as nobody grabs my leg without permission. At one job in Hawaii where everybody on the crew was fooling around the boss's wife pulled me into her office and wanted the true nature of my sexuality, which at the time was straight but celibate. I told her I didn't fool around on the company pier (a tour boat crew) and that my sexuality was none of her damn business. Her old man, my boss and friend just laughed when I told him to get h... pappy, sorry I went on a rant, the greenery is more important. This same woman voted for Bush because he was cute and believes Obama is a muslim because of FOX News, scary in the least. Small-minded, evil little people are the ones that see trees as a place to hang a noose. If mom-in-law is reading now - [i]You better watch your mouth or you might find yourself under one of those trees standing on your high-horse with a rope about your neck and tape over your mouth.[i/] Damn, screwed up the code- sorry skwirl, Take it easy son, I keep my friends close and enemies closer, that is how I survived all these years. Even God has not the answer for stupid. I enjoy chatting with you and pappy. We can all make things better in our own way, communication is essential. I have handled worse than mommy-in-law, just not on a hot day in June.LOL The beer was refreshing, about like Bill O'Reilly with a lufa. Not to worry, Ben, I enjoy your comments, as I do Skwirl's...unlike our resident boor, Willie the intellectual Wanker. pappy, do not get me started, for willie is a wanker that is no skanker, only when he plays with his wanker. Going to get debbyski at work, take her , TN, and my baby girl swimming. Later gator, do not be a silly for willy, for he is a randy billy, only when he plays with his willy. We do love him so. Entertainment at its best Willy's such a boorish bore...Wow...swimming sounds like a lot of fun...Have a beautiful day! I did, the baby has to go to work, left the debbyski and TN at poolside, may have to bail them out, hope they have fun, they have cooler of long neck soldiers to keep them company, I will bury the bodies in the morning and drain the cooler.LOL |
