This is more than just worth a download, I consider stellarium reason enough to own a laptop!

Seriously, get this program, beg borrow or buy a laptop, and go check out a clear night sky from a field somewhere. Try turning on constellation lines, art, and finding specific planets.

It will absolutely change the way you look at the stars from then on!

This is basically the open source version of Starry Night Pro. The real fun is when you have a decent telescope and ASCOM software interfaces to control the telesscope via your 'star' program. I will check it out.
