I'm hoping too that this info leads to better and cheaper photovotaics. I think one day we'll have paint coatings that essentially are able to turn any surface into a solar energy panel. This would mean that any paintable surface, such as houses, office buildings, roads, etc would be hooked up to the grid, and reduce the present methods of burning oil and other materials to create electricity.
