wiccantexan says: Yes, it's so much better for the babies to suffer needlessly, feeling the pain of their bodies struggling, then for the parents to have made that selective reduction and probably have a couple of healthy, full-term infants. Agree with your comment. pop for your comment Wiccantexan Hindsight is 20-20, if they would have aborted 4 and kept two, and everything went alright then they would always wonder what would would have happened if they would have tried for three? And so on down the line... Nothing much worse than regret. True, but doctors don't tend to recommend reduction of such a large percentage without good reason. I'm thinking there were health concerns already in place. i totally agree with you wiccantexan, but i'm not sure i'd be able to think so rationallly if i were in the mother's position myself. i think part of human nature is to hope for the best and test chance just a little..... If I had 6 babies coming all at once, I'm not sure I'd be thinking rationally at all! Yes, I understand where you're going with that idea. To have to make that kind of choice, even knowing the odds; I don't know how I'd handle it. |
