Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

About 4 years ago two little old ladies moved into our neighborhood. One would walk up past my home while I was washing my car on a regular basis and we'd always strike up a nice conversation. I enjoyed talking to her. One day, one of my other neighbors who is a state cop stopped me and said "Are those two lesbians or what?" and I replied "Whose business would it be if they were Matt? It's not contagious you know. Don't worry; your wife won't catch it hunny and added a"
Now, I know and like a lot of people in our neighborhood (Matt isn't one) and that wasn't the first time I had been asked that question. But the truth of the matter is that they were both biological sisters who mo...

I was speaking more to the trend I see of some narrow minded people turning around a good clip by giving it a POP when you know they are being totally sarcastic in their support. I could see that happening with the title, you know? and I wanted to speak to that. The clip is FAB.

Good to know you aren't bigoted against those who don't share your views in this dawning age of unity

I love the attributing of devious motives to deeds done only in one's imagination by those one hates.
So unifying.

Of course we all know that gay marriage is the leading cause of straight divorce.

I came out to a friend recently. I knew she was a regular church goer and well, it's a chance you take that people will hate you, but it's something that I cannot be dishonest about anymore at such a level with my close friends. Her reaction was sort of oh well the world is changing *sigh* and things aren't like they used to be. My response was you know what? I'm glad they aren't what they used to be. I'm glad I'm not only suppressed but oppressed as much as I used to be. I'm glad people are more tolerant. I'm glad people are more accepting and caring and informed, but mostly I'm glad that I don't have to pretend to be someone else just to make others feel more comfortable.

That there still is a majority of people who in the USA thinks that what they call sinners testifies to their absolute lack of knowledge of human nature and the place that religion plays in their lives.
And that is all too simply scary, to say the least!
That this same majority denies millions to share love, devotion, care, attention, and all way more that goes with a couple's life goes beyond description.
For those who believe that religion - and probably Christianity most of all - is an agent of the above should not prevent so many people who happen to be gay, thanks to nature alone, to share all the good that they have and deserve to get throughout their lives altogether.
Instead, they se...

Well,
I couldn't agree more Vdeger and I'll go one step further and say these people are being totally Un-Christ like. I have to agree with Spong when he says the marks of death are present when the church rejects lesbian and gay persons because they do not fit the narrow homophobic definition of "normal" humanity and do not hear the pain of the oppressed and rejected homosexual community. And I will totally agree with Spong that those are the signs that death awaits the Christ experience.
