They have lost their supposedly divine endorsement; why would Allah have called them to action, just to see them destroyed by the infidels? The sheer bloodthirstiness of their actions in Iraq have exposed them as drug-driven demons, not righteous jihadists.

While Barack Obama and the Democratic party run around shouting to every microphone they can find that “Al-Qaeda is stronger today than it was on 9/11″ have challenged the core assumptions of Al-Qaeda’s motivating philosophy, that Allah is on their side and they cannot fail, and in doing so have crushed the spirit of Al-Qaeda’s followers and assured that recruiting into “Allah’s army” is far more difficult that it would have been if otherwise.
Al Qaeda itself is telling a different story.

Al-Qaeda leaders admit: 'We are in crisis. There is panic and fear'

And what has been the response of the Democratic nominee for President, his party and devotees in the msm? To deny that these brave men and women have accomplished anything of value to America, often accusing them of crimes against the Iraqi people and against humanity.

Barack Obama may try to set up a rhetorical framework that disallows any questions about his patriotism, but his own behavior demands that his patriotism be called into question.

Barack Obama is no patriot.

I had to smile (a bad thing) when I heard one person decry this weekend. "But the real battle is in Afghanistan. We should be focusing our efforts there." Gee, if we're winning in Iraq let's look around for another place to point. Hurry, hurry...we've got to find something bad! :~(

It's no mystery why chicken hawks always find a way to bark out the bright side of a train wreck of a war, but to do it so craftily from the safety of station house demonstrates a behavior that defies patriotism more than they will ever know.

Perhaps what makes our nation great is our dedication to freedom. Perhaps what makes our nation unique is our dedication to individual liberty.

What makes our nation powerful, though, is greed.

We are a capitalistic country, built on the tenants of free enterprise and the ability capitalism grants to each individual to move from one social class to another simply by working hard enough and thinking smart enough.

But this greed is a common thread running through the scandals in Iraq and Afghanistan, from allegations a firm failed to protect employees sexually assaulted by co-workers to findings that it charged $45 per can of soda: The Pentagon has outsourced crucial troop suppor...

Indeed our dedication to Freedom is one of the things that makes our country great. We are so dedicated to it that we believe that EVERYONE should get a shot at it. We are the only ones who seem willing to put our money where are mouth is (notable exceptions to the UK and Australia). We are willing, time and time again to expend our blood and treasure in the name of freedom even outside our borders.

And as to the comments about Governement spending...duh! Anytime the government is spending taxpayers money you know they are wasting a big chunk. When I was in the service I was a Seabee. Which meant that I was part of a Naval Construction Battalion. We built stuff. But anytime something needed built on our base, Hospital, classrooms etc. we were required to hire civilian contractors. So we stood by on the clock and watched others build what we could have easily built.

Well these are thieves, you referred to their thievery as simple waste, there is a difference between the two and it involves greed not carelessness or oversight.
