blueridge says:
Obama speaks to his real constituents--The Lobby. Gas prices will continue to rise on this speech, as his words demonstrate NO CHANGE in "entangling alliances" with Israel, bowing to the Lobby, and continuing the neocon agenda. Oil futures will continue to climb on war fears as this middle east policy based upon nothing but propaganda about Iran continues. He may say "diplomacy" but they can make him go to war, and will, through stealth provocations or false-flag events.

Upon closer examination:

It is interesting the MSM in this article attempts to pin certain words and meanings to his words, as if to "eliminate" Iran, instead of nuclear threat. This article looks like they are tying him to a Zionist Contract by highlighting certain words (e.g. eliminate, everything), doesnt' it? Are they reporting or influencing how we are to interpret what he says? "If it is in the interest of the United States"--maybe it is a hint of subtle resistance to the Lobby.

Ok, it doesn't look good but what are the alternatives. He must say this to have a chance of change. I turned against Hillary after her wailing in Jerusalem some time ago.

Any change can only come from within the rotten system without a US Tiananmen Square. He is the only one who might do it. All politicians can find reason for an about face. In his case it might be genuine. Hope!

Am I making any sense?

YES,righthand, you are making sense and YES, blueridge, I believe there is "a hint of subtle resistance to the Lobby."

Number One: AIPAC supported Hillary Clinton; they lost.

Number Two: Obama forcefully still insisted on direct talks and diplomacy with Iran AND -- in his "nuanced," way he made it clear he was against Iran having nuclear weapons...not Iran having nuclear power.

I certainly did not feel he was going to rush off and attack Iran because of claims they would have such weapons in four or five years. No way.

He was also clear on wanting a two-state solution -- a goal "The Lobby," actually scoffs at and has no intention of trying to achieve: They want all Palestinians out, move...

You've got to be "friends" with either Israel or "those other guys." See how nice I can be? I didn't call them a horrible name.

Anyway, it sounds like the people leaving comments before me would rather chose against Israel.

I sincerely hope you don't get your wish.
