Remove beans from pot, (do not discard water) & place beans in large pot or slow cook crock pot. Wash potatoes If potatoes are much larger than golf ball size, cut or quarter them into chunks. Par boil the potatoes (once they start to get soft) in same water/pan you used for the beans. When done, potatoes go into the same crock pot. Brown bacon till crisp and crumbly. E... I was telling jatfla the other day (when she made it) that this was one of my favorite dishes. Do you deep fry it Mousie? Deep fry the bacon? No way. I like to cook it in the oven, because I don't get burned. *LOL* I thought they deep fried everything in Texas. (that wasn't a serious comment) I thought they deep fried everything in Texas.Oh, we do! I am just a huge chicken in that respect. Speaking of, I make fried chicken in the oven for the same reason. Hot popping grease is not my friend. Deep fried bacon sounds really good, though. *LOL* I thought they would probably deep fry the Rice Krispie treat too! I just got done making blackberry freezer jam from the Navaho thorn-less blackberry bushes I have. There are TONS of them setting on, but the jam is excellent and so easy to make Blackberry jam sounds delicious. Thorn-less blackberry bushes sound good too. I love blackberry cobbler.
