Its not a total loss for China as they will be able to add his vital organs to the ever-growing trade in such "products" :roll"

I sure hope China can straighten itself out in this regard. I fear his sentence is for shaming the government, and the government won't really improve things.

I totally agree with you gingembre. Some managers have been arrested too. I expect the same fate awaits them too.

Well that is one way to stem corruption.

I feel that it is a fitting punishment since letting unsafe drugs and food on to the market could kill millions. As they in Spiderman "with great power comes great responsibility."

Yes I just quoted Spiderman.

Actually, China executes politicians and business leaders for serious corruption on a somewhat regular basis. If anyone wonders what will happen to whoever they find that allowed the recent poisonings to occur, well, now you know.

Could this ever happen in America?

The REAL Napster
In China they waste approx .35 cents for a single pistol round to the head. Or maybe a couple of dollars for a firing squad. In America, they open a panel of inquiry and Congress may get involved after hundreds are sickened or killed. That costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. I'd say Chinas system is much more cost effective in that regard. And probably even more effective if you think about it.

I'm somehow totally in agreement with this.

If they brought about punishments for corruption like death by firing squad in India, I'm sure the scene there will definitely change....desperate times do call for desperate measures....
