People may think they are above the law, but that worm can turn and when it does what they thought was impossible -- winding up in jail -- can suddenly become their new reality.

As cliche as it may sound: No one is above the law.

If an individual or group manages to control power, indeed, they can break the law and perhaps even get away with murder (note: some of these prisoners were murdered in jail -- and torture is just the tip of the iceberg).

But as of yet no one has established a dictatorship in the USA. And although the generals seem to be self-propelled war machines they are not our rulers.

A half-black man raised by a single mom who was once on food stamps can turn to them and change their plans -- or fired them -- overnight.

Of course, that's a terrible racsist slur on President Obama but maybe makes the point. He would be far better describled as a extraoredinary hard-working, smart, gifted, skilled man of integrity and committment who cares about the country and its people (and it's history).

It would clearly appear from what has been revealed in public that Cheney and Gonzales belong in jail. Probably Rumsfeld too. And for other reasons Karl Rove. And more could be added to the list depending how deep you want to go (Rice, Feith, Wolfowitz, Mayers, etc.).

But at least if we get a few of them, good.
