Edgar Allen Poe's Raven exhibited this....Another thing about Crows around here--as teenagers, we'd scout the woods before hunting season and find good areas to hunt deer and such. The crows would sit in trees, power lines and watch us walk by. We had no guns! When hunting season arrived, we couldn't get within a 100 yards of them before they flew off. They didn't want to risk losing tail feathers. Decades ago, there had been a bounty on crows around these parts and maybe, and I'm reaching, they passed this information down from one generation to the next. ha |
