Political correctness run crazy. Sex offenders are just normal people according to Scotland Yard and the Home Office. They deserve access to social networking sites where there are lots of children.

Convicted sex offenders should not be prevented from using social networking
sites such as MySpace, Scotland Yard said today.

The Met said it had no plans to share information about sex offenders with
sites such as MySpace and Bebo with a view to having the profiles of such
people taken down, as has happened in several states in America.

Scotland Yard's position was backed up by the Home Office, which said was "not
intending to disclose lists of registered sex offenders to individuals or

In a statement, MySpace said: "We're pleased that we've successfully
