merrie says: Moreover, reports the Times, the foundation's donations are up 70 percent since Hillary's campaign got under way - with two-thirds of the money coming from just 11 donors. For his part, the former president says he'll be happy to start naming names and amounts - but not until Hillary is elected. Even then, he says, past donors will remain anonymous, "unless there is some conflict of which I am aware." However, he insists, "there is none." Pardon us if we don't simply take his word for it. Again, the possibilities for using the foundation for influence-peddling are enormous - and, sad to say, Team Clinton doesn't exactly have an illustrious record in safeguarding against any abuse. Unless there is something they don't want us to know, the Clintons should provide some genuine transparency and make the names and amounts public. Pardon me if I can't believe a word of anything coming out of the White House either. This administration is one of the most secretive and un-disclosing in the history of our country. Bush/Cheney are liars and warmongers, elitest tools and thieves. So...., when it comes down to a couple million for Bill it comes down to $9.8 TRILLION from the Neo-cons. They destroyed Clinton over a blow-job but won't do anything about the abuses by Bush/Cheny. Hypocrites. Oh, and the New York times is the LAST newspaper that anyone should trust for the truth about anything. Sorry, NY Post. I think it will be a long time before the truth of all the Clinton escapades will be known to the public. I won't be around when the the generation not born yet writes about the Clinton family. @reddoggie Check out this site for campaign financing issues hillary accountability project documenting the largest campaign fraud in American history http://www.hillcap.org/default.php?page_id=3 correction for previous comment: Hillary Accountability Project.org documenting the largest campaign financing fraud in American history |
