EVERY planet discovered has the potential to harbor life. I believe the "potential planets" mentioned where nothing more than media hype. They were planets orbited suns similar to ours and/or orbited at a similar distance as the earth does. This does not habitable make.

Just thought I'd point that out.

Most of the planets found so far are far too hot (based on how close they are to their sun) to harbor any kind of like-as-we-know-it. Maybe there can be life above the melting point of lead, but Venus hasn't shown any signs of it.
