Now why is that? Is it because men can kick our asses physically and they know it? I have a female friend, whom I used to work with. She discovered all sorts of irregularities in the quality control section of the production plant. She blew the whistle and in doing so blew up her career and her job. She was the only woman and the men as a pack turned on her with a vengeance because she dared to expose them. They behaved like rabid dogs and they almost destroyed her. You know, why is that Michellezm? Is it because they could? Indeed. Since the dawn of time it's been a man's world and generally the male ego is so much more fragile than the females. If the WB had been a man, the male-herd instinct wouldn't have kicked in. You only have to watch some of the reality shows to see that men will collude with, and protect each other to the nth degree against women. And women (oh, that perverse creature), as you know, would rather collude with men than with other women. It's a male-bonding thing, a hangover from the cavemen days when they used to go out hunting in groups. It's all about group survival That's my two cents worth. Oh, and I did read somewhere that all men are homosexual by instinct, but not all by pr... I think this. I think there are a lot of men who really don't like women. I think they want them and need them and that bothers them. I think their egos are hurt when rejected by women. I think they don't like the power that women's sexuality has over men. Being a bisexual woman myself, I can understand the feelings of desire for other women, but I can't understand the disdain for the object of that desire. But then again, I am a woman, and I think like a woman. I genuinely like women, and not just in a sexual way, but in a truly emotional way. Are all men homosexual by instinct? I really do not think so at all. I know I've read article's that say all pe... To paraphrase Churchill's quote: "I cannot forecast to you the actions of [men]. It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is [men's natural instincts and] interests". I find people fascinating. All people. In all male workplaces it is usually the most sensitive guy that recieves the brunt of the harassment. It is usually the most insecure guy that is the narc. When he does call out the atrocities at the workplace he is usually punished by the group by being farther alienated and ridiculed until he quits. In all male workplaces we don't concern ourselves with our language, our appearance or our attitudes. With women in the workplace we have to be on constant guard against farting or belching or unrestrained swearing. We don't feel natural. hahahahahah, Skwril. So the boys like crass behavior? Therein lies the secret to male bonding? Male behavior is quite fascinating to me at times; almost like a pack of wolves. I, like you, find all types of social behavior rather interesting. @Michellezm, I would tend to agree. I have seen a lot of people with integrity lose when they tried to be honest. Its sad that doing the right has to come with a cost. |
