It is a lot of fun to decry what we perceive as problems in a country we do not live in. It is business of western democracies to fix the world's problems when not identifying and solving their own. Do not be so quick to break down the traditional society of other cultures. What will they replace it with. Western democracy? God forbid! Maybe time to take a deeper look at our own problems. Dog fighting and cock fighting were cultural traditions for many, yet few would argue that this should continue. Obviously, there are some people (here, and in Pakistan) who want to change traditions. The difference between the US and Pakistan is only a matter of degree, we are at different stages in the same struggle for human rights. We reserve the right to dialogue and support each other in the struggle for human rights all over the world. |
