What would the treatment be called if it was used on someone you knew? Who was 'guilty' of being a 'suspect'
The official version seems to be that since there is no definitive meaning, torture does not exist.
If the Administration had their way the word 'torture would be removed from all dictionaries, and thesaurus' for National Security reasons - Unless the term is used to describe treatment by forces, or nationals that are proven to be from countries other than the US.
If the Administration are so sure they are not technically involved in torture, perhaps a question could be included in the next Census detailing the methods to give the American people the chance to voice their opinion. O...

Of course it would help if the Administration could hear anything but their own touts. The people seem to be locked out of the argument. Voting? Yeah right. After what we've discovered over the last few years, the truth is an irrelevant detail. Computer voting, with no hard copy, will make elections (as if they aren't already) a primary source of income for those involved in the election industry, with the appointment of the major players from a few meagre choices a formality.
