Capt. Christopher A. Eason, one of Hernandez's lawyers says, "The whole thing is a system failure. This is unprecedented".

To make matters worse, the Air Force says that it gave the three men accused of rape non-judicial punishments and granted them immunity in exchange for their testimony against Hernandez.

Hernandez's attorneys say that she faces
up to a year in prison,
a reduction in pay allowances and
a possible bad conduct discharge from the Air Force if convicted. Additionally, if found guilty, she will have
to register as a sex offender.

Hernandez's defense attorneys do not work at the Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, and have been having trouble getting access to all of the documents and evidence related to the case. They will need all of this evidence and documentation to properly defend Hernandez at the court-martial that is scheduled for September 24.

Hernandez fears that other women who have been raped will hear her story and be afraid to come forward to report the assaults. She says that if she knew what was going to happen to her, she never would have reported the alleged assaults.

The military appear to have a damage limitation policy. Justice isn't high on their agenda. Shutting her up with threats should have worked but this is a tough cookie. Now they must proceed with their threats and so bring the armed forces into disrepute. And no justice.

Like I pointed out earlier, Air Force bases have thier own drinking age (18) which means you can drink 3.2% beer on base, but not hard alcohol (which is not beer).

Also you cannot be on active duty without being at least 18 years of age, (delayed enlistment is NOT active duty). The person in question was on active duty on an Air Force Base and was therefore above age 18, and NOT a minor, as you clumisly tried to contend. ...
