Hunger is a very powerful force, but is nothing compared to man's thirst for power. With terms like genocide, ethnic cleansing, even terms like "weapons of mass destruction" have allowed us to do our dirty work.

Very true, I believe very few of us actually want to kill or do actual work for power. The very few who does want to kill for power is mentally challenged at best. But when you combined Hunger and Power, my friend you have a monster in your hand......

In extreme situations the will to survive allows all sorts of behavior. At some point in evolution it became necessary for certain species to eat their mate, as a result we live with those oddities today.
