Why am I not surprised?
oh yeah!
1But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

13They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling...

I am beyond disgusted. This is the defining moment for me. Clipmarks has become a cesspool of political and atheist hatred, intolerance, vengeance and venom and it's hurt my heart, worn away my spirit and stripped me of all interest and enthusiasm. So, I'm off.

(I wish you well John - always have, always will)

To be honest, this isn't really new. And it's typical that the Christians are jumping all over it. Remember, when you read the Bible, you are INTERPRETING it. Well, someone interpreted it differently than you, and it's not harming anyone, so stop being so pompous and ignorant.

Other religions "worship" orgasm to an extent. It's the ultimate form of earthly pleasure, of passion, and so you can surely see why it might be regarded in this way. Tantra is the obvious example. It's not dirty, it's not perverted... if you read about it instead of making assumptions, you'd find that it's very much about love and happiness and mutual pleasure BEYOND a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am and is NOT about "getting off."

Michelle,

I am sorry you are so offended by the clip. However it was not done as an act of "hatred, intolerance, vengeance and venom" (in fact I would be very surprised if you can find anywhere near as many clips that meet those descriptions from atheist clippers as there are from people with religious views). There have been many clips with much more explicit sexual content than this one - what exactly is it that you find so disgusting? I clipped a site that was reporting about a group that has started a religion that you find disgusting. I'm an atheist as you know - it is not my religion but it's there, these people have as much right to worship what they want as anyone else - don't they...

Where does the objection to interpretation of deistic expression leave Saint John Coltrane Church? Are they who worship there heretics? His singular artistry has been widely acclaimed as a god-given gift.
Saint John Coltrane demonstrated great love and devotion, declaring in his personal Testimony his own spiritual awakening. Which he said: “was to lead me to a richer, fuller, more productive life. At that time, in gratitude, I humbly asked to be given the means and privilege to make others happy through music.”
Music has the power to make others happy, deliver and set free the mind, hearts and souls of the dear listener. All pr...

Why attack the clipper instead of commenting on the clip itself?

Also citing scripture says nothing about the clip, as it has no relevance to the subject.

It's just a CLIP, friends. Something happened. It was unusual. Somebody clipped it. Shall we pretend the event didn't happen? Shall we ignore everything that seems tasteless or offensive to us?

And must we assume that our clippers are advocating for a clip's point of view, when they may have simply been thinking, "Here's an unusual thing!"

Why attack anything here? You learned that something happened. Where's the threat in that? Is knowing more harmful than ignorance?

And yes, we have an outspoken atheist contingent - and, (I'm speaking as a Christian pastor) - shouldn't we? 'Bout time we learned a few things about each other! 'Bout time we honed our listening skills, a...

I am not intolerant of anyone's beliefs (if they do no harm). As far as I'm concerned people should be free to believe any nonsense they like, and I am free to mock them (kinda the point of the clip really). What I AM intolerant of is what people do in the name of their imaginary friend in the sky or because their particular book of bronze aged myths tells them to. In case you still don't get it here are some of the things I am intolerant of (and note that they are behaviours not viewpoints).

I am intolerant of: people trying to teach fantasy as fact in schools, people flying planes into skyscrapers, children dying because parents withhold life saving treatments, children dying while being ...

well on some perhaps

I think abortion, evolution and gay marriage might cause some disagreement though.
