This make Firefox run slower than the standard install config. Also, if you're not completely confident in what you're doing, what the changes mean, and what the impact is, then you probably shoudn't. An easy way to speed your firefox is to install a plug-in named Fasterfirefox~~ Tried it with my old computer, made no difference. Bought a new computer and router, it now flies. Great tweak! Now my Firefox is running faster than before. great tweaks! thanks thanks! My firefox is seemingly running faster. Thanx. Trabaja muy bien , gracias Well I don't think I will try these but my firefox is already running faster than IE. I used firetune and it worked great ...go to http://www.firetune.com it does all of the functions mentioned above I guess it runs faster. Must check, but add more like this, it's great !!! great tweaks ...THANX a lot .... it's either my imagination or it really works but my firefox browser did seem to run a bit faster with these tweaks! it was definitely worth a try and firefox comes free anyway so there was nothing to lose. Hm... it seems to have worked =) Estupendo, genial, muy recomendable. Great work!!! Thank“s!!! Just get the Firefox extension "FasterFox". I does all that for you and then some... Don't know, dont use firefox, use flock, way faster than both IE and Firefox, and same tech as firefox, but no plugins yet. IIRC, setting the max request at 32 is unnecessary - its upper limit is 8. network.http.pipelining.maxrequests [Integer] (8) - This setting I've read where FasterFox overloads the servers. It loads all the links on the page. Setting initialpaint will actually make Firefox go *slower*, and by quite a bit. A perfect value for this if you're on a broadband connection is 350. With it set a 350-500, you will definitely notice a speed increase in Firefox. Try it! For good measure, also set network.prefetch-next to false. Prefetching makes the browser insanely slow. |
