Hey Dugg! Hi Zechariahs! Welcome to clipmarks. You will be addicted to it if you like digg. foe sure. popped and dugg I like clipmarks better because you can add more of the story and your own little comment. Plus it keeps fresh stories on top. But knocking Digg off the mountain is a awfully tall order. Both sites can totally coexist. For relevant content that matters and not just links, Clipmarks is a much more useful site. Ha! take that, Digg! Wow, finally, my first ever comment at digg, I never thought I would ever participate at digg, but you made me do it. A big hearty pop for you for stumbling into Clipmarks. Now be prepared to get addicted here. As far as critical comments go, you are correct, digg and clipmarks can co-exist. Unlike digg, Clipmarks gives you so much more than just a chance to get instant gratification. I can practically use Clipmarks every day for richer browsing experience without even participating or sharing anything, but participating and sharing is much more better and richer here than at digg. Welcome! D1GG PWNS CL1PMARK5 !!!!! LOL, APPLE FTW. M1CROSOFT SUCKS!!!! B1LL GATE5 THE DEVIL!!!! STEVE JOBS = GOD!!!!! D1GG ME UP L05ERS !!!!!! Did you look at the half-assed comments from the Digg Crowd ? "It's so compact". WTF, you don't have to squint or anything. "It's filtered". i just posted this comment on the digg story (at the source of this clip). wanted to post it here too. even i wouldn't say that clipmarks is s a digg killer. the sheer size of digg's community and their quality of service should keep it growing for a long time. i have a lot of respect for digg as a pioneer of this space. i guess what i'm saying is that i have no interest in "killing" digg. Joining them amongst the web's leading social news sites, yes...killing them, no. Keep clipmarks a small community. Masses will destroy anything. You know, I think someone ought to start a full time job detecting stories coming out of Clipmarks at Digg. But then again, we're all naked in this pool, so might as well live happily together I personally think the next evolution for all these social networking sites is to go into split mode. Create communities within communities. Some may not agree with this solution but it is natural in a way how society works. Ideally, you may want to live in one happy family but the reason we're divided into tribes and communities is because it is natural evolution. Digg is not a bad concept or a site, but they took way too long in splitting the nerds (read young) away from political types (read adults). But even after they introduced other topics, they still didn't do it right and now all we have is a hodgepodge of kids and youth over taking those few sane individuals who may crave for ... arifsali, That's just one out of tens. Great first clip, but are you sure that "Clipmarks is another democratic news website"is really true? I wouldn't say news. It's more than that. "Great first clip, but are you sure that "Clipmarks is another democratic news website" is really true?" Maybe news wasn't the correct word. But I do think it is democratic. It is the only site where you don't have to type in those spam proof security letters to participate and you don't have to worry about spammers, because spammers can hardly survive for long at Clipmarks. Clipmarks could beat digg b/c digg is nothing but a bunch of blogs who then link to interesting info. Clipmarks has the potential of just linking to the original material to start out with and cut out the annoying blog middleman. |
