D'uh.
It difficult to wade through the near overwhelming daily dose of lies and propaganda inflicted upon us day by day, with charade pretensions like: spreading freedom, setting up democracies, false connections to 9/11, etc. etc.
Read this: Written in 1998. Signed by: Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle, Bolton, Abrams, Armitage, and Woolsey. (all to become part of the Bush Administration):

1. Oil
2. Israel
3. Fabricated fear of WMD's
